If someone in the family or friend’s circle shows the symptoms of anorexia, then:

  • Do not body shame them or mock at their appearances. It could make them more nervous about their looks and lead to lower self-esteem. Instead, compliment on their little things or works and encourage them to talk about their feelings.
  • Encourage them to partake in physical activities, games which will build up an appetite and divert their negative thoughts.
