WHY HAS THIS SCIENCE OF HOMEOPATHY SURVIVED FOR MORE THAN 250 YEARS? HERE ARE 50 OBVIOUS REASONS:

Homeopathy was discovered by a German scientist named Dr. Samuel Hahnemann accidentally in 1796. Ever since the science has only grown. Although the ups and downs the science of Homeopathy has survived for more than 250 years!

Hippocrates ‘The Father of Medicine’ of Ancient Greece said there were two Laws of Healing: The Law of Opposites and the Law of Similars. Homeopathy treats the patient with medicines using the Law of Similars, orthodox (Allopathy) medicine uses the Law of Opposites, e.g. anti-pyretic (against fever) antibiotics (against life), anti-inflammatories, anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, anti-emetics and everything else thats anti (opposite) to the symptom.

Homeopathy is based on fixed principles of the Laws of Nature which do not change unlike medical theories which are constantly changing! Yes these are LAWS and not theories! Why else would you have 5 generations of antibiotics to kill the otherwise harmless bacteria? and the same generation of homeopathic drugs like Sulphur, Nux Vomica, Pulsatilla, etc ever since they were discovered some 250 years ago?

Homeopathy is an evidence-based system of medicine, empirical medicine. Here drug proving is done systematically on Healthy human beings and NOT on lower animals as all drugs are tissue protein specific. Drugs proven on lower animals will never show the same effect on Humans as the tissue proteins are different in each species. They are species specific as well.

Homeopathy is both an art and a science. With growing technology the scientific part gets simpler everyday and the art part minimises. Homeopathy is becoming more and more mathematical everyday with the use of software technology and expert systems like the famous KES: Khedekar Expert System.

The Homeopathic provings of medicines are a more scientific method of testing than the orthodox (allopathy) model. Here drugs are proved on Healthy Humans and symptoms are recorded from the Mind first and then physically from Head to toe. Also newer medicines are being proved every day and they add to the Materia Medica and Repertory.

Homeopathic medicine awakens and stimulates the body’s own curative powers. The potentized remedy acts as a catalyst to set healing into motion. This is also called as self healing through the body’s own DNA repair mechanism. With homeopathy doctors make the patients’ own body repair or heal it self. Hence the spectrum of diseases curable with Homeopathy is much bigger than with conventional systems.

Homeopathic medicines work by communicating a vibration/pattern/frequency of energy via the whole human body to jump start the body’s own inherent healing mechanisms.
Homeopathy assists the body to heal itself, to overcome an illness which brings the patient to a higher level of health. Orthodox medicine suppresses the illness, bringing the patient to a lower level of health.

The Homeopathy practitioner endeavours to search for and treat the cause of the disease in order to heal the effect.

Outcomes of homeopathic treatment are measured by the long term curative effects of prescribing and complete eradication of the disease state in the deviated human.

The homeopathic practitioner treats the whole person, because man doesn’t exist in parts. All his trillions of cells have actually evolved from one single embryo in the mother’s womb. All cells share the same genetic information (code). Hence all symptoms are interrelated and seeks to select a medicine which most closely covers them all in symptom similarity.

Homeopathic remedies are cheapest. For example, in India 35 people can be cured in INR. 50/-

Pharmaceutical preparations (allopathic drugs) are very expensive.
There are more than 4,000 homeopathic homeopathy medicines that can be used in millions of disease conditions based on symptom similarity.

Homeopathic medicines have no toxic side-effects. This is due to the high dilution (potentization) and infrequent repetition as used in ‘Classical Homeopathy’.

Homeopathic medicines are non-addictive. And hence no drug dependency will ever happen.

Every true homeopathic medicine is made using one substance (law of Simplex), whether plant, mineral, metal, animal, etc. The exact substance is known, unlike most modern drugs where we are rarely informed of the ingredients and their effects. Like the use of mercurial compounds to increase the shelf-life of Vaccines
Any remedy up to a 12c or a 24x potency still contains the original molecules of the substance and this is according to Avogadro’s number.

No two people on this earth’s population of about 8billion are the same. Every Patient is Unique so homeopathic medicines are individualized to treat the man in ideas and not the disease in man. e.g: two people suffering from the same viral flu will get two different medicines because killing the virus won’t be the solution but stimulating individual immunity is the solution.

Homeopaths treat genetic illness or traits one is born with, tracing its origins to 3 main genetic causes: tendency for Functional disturbance (Psora), tendency for Structural disturbance (sycosis) and tendency for destructive disturbance (syphilis).
Epidemics such as cholera and typhoid were treated successfully using Homeopathy (genus epidemicus) in the 19th century with very high success rates, compared to orthodox medicine

There are thousands of homeopathic books, available at specialist outlets, not sold in the high street.

There are 5 homeopathic hospitals in the U.K. In London, Tunbridge Wells, Bristol, Liverpool and Glasgow. They cost the NHS under £10 million a year compared to the £100 billion for the total annual NHS budget for 2008! There are hundreds of Homeopathy hospitals in India and in Germany. The avg health care expenditure of Germans is lower than Americans. Also the life expectancy of Germans is higher than that of Americans.

At one of the earliest debates on the NHS Act of 1948 the Government pledged that homoeopathy would continue to be available on the NHS, as long as there were “patients wishing to receive it and doctors willing to provide it”.

There is a campaign by certain U.K. Professors to oust homeopathy completely from the NHS after they wrote on NHS headed paper to all Primary Care Trusts in 2006 telling managers not to refer patients to the homeopathic hospitals. This was due to the huge pressure from pharma cartels.

The Homeopathic Hospitals are clean, with friendly, well informed staff. The patients are generally pleased with their treatment unlike many orthodox National Health Service hospitals.

The chances of contracting MRSA or C. Difficile at a Homeopathic Hospital are extremely rare.

Unlike orthodox medicine (allopathy) where two thirds of all conventional hospital admissions are due to the side-effects of pharmaceutical medicines, the bill for negligence claims soaring into billions, one U.K. leading insurance company reported only ‘a couple’ of claims against homeopaths in a ten year period!
In the United States in the early 1900s there were 22 homeopathic medical schools and over 100 homeopathic hospitals, 60 orphanages and old people’s homes and 1,000+ homeopathic pharmacies. These figures came down after 1970 after the death of the stalwart homeopath J. T. Kent. And after change in regulations in certain states due to the huge pressure of the pharma lobby.
Members of the American Medical Association had great animosity towards homeopathy after its formation in 1847 and it was decided to purge all local medical societies of physicians who were homeopaths.

Big Pharma mafia does not want the Public to find out how well homeopathy works! This will otherwise have a direct effect on their sales.

In 2005 the World Health Organisation (WHO) brought out a draft report which showed homeopathy was beneficial causing Big Pharma to panic and The Lancet to bring out an editorial entitled ‘The End of Homeopathy’.

In 2005 The Lancet tried to destroy homeopathy but were only looking at 8 inconclusive trials out of 110 of which 102 were positive. This was a fraudulent analysis.

“The meta-analysis at the centre of the controversy is based on 110 placebo-controlled clinical trials of homeopathy and 110 clinical trials of allopathy (conventional medicine), which are said to be matched. These were reduced to 21 trials of homeopathy and 9 of conventional medicine of ‘higher quality’ and further reduced to 8 and 6 trials, respectively, which were ‘larger, higher quality’. The final analysis which concluded that ‘the clinical effects of homoeopathy are placebo effects’ was based on just the eight ‘larger, higher quality’ clinical trials of homeopathy. The Lancet’s press release did not mention this, instead giving the impression that the conclusions were based on all 110 trials.”

There have been many clinical trials that prove homeopathy works. In the past 24 years there have been more than 180 controlled, and 118 randomized, trials into homeopathy, which were analysed by four separate meta-analyses. In each case, the researchers concluded that the benefits of homeopathy went far beyond that which could be explained purely by the placebo effect.
The Bristol Homeopathic Hospital carried out a study published in November 2005 of 6500 patients receiving homeopathic treatment. There was an overall improvement in health of 70% of them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/4
Homeopathy can never be properly tested through double blind randomised trials because each prescription is individualised as every patient is unique. Therefore 10 people with arthritis, for example, may all need 10 different homeopathic medicines.
Homeopathic medicines are not tested on animals or lower animals. They are only tested on humans.

Homeopathic medicines work even better on animals and babies than on adults, proving this cannot be placebo. My research on Developmental disorders in pediatric cases is self explanatory. Research on Developmental Disorders in Pediatric cases
Scientists agree that if and when homeopathy is accepted by the scientific community it will turn established science on its head. This creates panic in the pharma industry.

Homeopathic Practitioners train for 5 1/2 years in Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Pathology and Disease, Surgery, Medicine, Materia Medica, Homeopathic Philosophy and study of the Homeopathic Repertory to get their Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 more years to get their Masters in India. BHMS: Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery and MD: Doctor of Medicine respectively. There are more than 200 homeopathy colleges in India alone. Homeopaths in India are on par with their allopathy counterparts.

Most homeopaths treat patients who have been referred to them by word of mouth. Most patients seek out homeopathy because conventional treatment has not benefited them or because it poses too great a risk of side-effects.
The homeopathic community has thousands, even millions, of written case notes that demonstrate the positive benefits of their treatment. Many homeopaths like me have video proof of their patients before and after treatment.
Homeopaths in UK charge patients an average of £50 an hour. Specialist Doctors can charge up to £200 or more. In India Homeopaths charge anything bet $1 till $200 for a single consultation which includes medicines as well. http://www.imperialclinics.com (fees section)
The popularity of homeopathy has grown in the past 30 years, its revival entirely through word of mouth and estimated to be growing at more than 20% a year the world over.

Homeopathy treatment market

Thousands of famous people throughout the past 250 years have enjoyed the benefits of homeopathic medicine. Click here http://imperialclinics.com/cv-in-photos
The aristocratic patronage of homeopathy in the U.K. extended well into the 1940s and beyond can be easily demonstrated. In the Homeopathic Medical Directories there are lists of patrons of the dispensaries and hospitals. They read like an extract from Burke’s or Debrett’s. In India Mahatma Gandhi was the strongest advocator of Homeopathy.

The Royal Families of Europe use homeopathic medicine and Queen Elizabeth II of England never travels anywhere without her homeopathic vials of medicine.
Homeopathy is practised nowadays in countries all over the world. In India there are 200 homeopathic medical schools and around 500,000 homeopathic doctors.
In a recent Global TGI survey where people were asked whether they trust homeopathy the following percentages of people living in urban areas said YES: 62% in India, 58% Brazil, 53% Saudi Arabia, Chile 49%, United Arab Emirates 49%, France 40%, South Africa 35%, Russia 28%, Germany 27%, Argentina 25%, Hungary 25%, USA 18%, UK 15%
The media as a whole has been unwilling to air a defence of the efficacy of homeopathy and the validity of this 250 year old profession.

Finally some news from Harvard Medical School:

The American Journal of Public Health has recently published a survey article out of Harvard that shows that homeopathic medicine, while still only used by a small fraction of the U.S. population, has jumped 15% in use. In addition, most users put homeopathy among the top 3 complementary and integrative strategies they use in their health care alongside Yoga, naturopathy and Chinese medicine.

The interest of this journal in this publication is linked to possible public health benefits from the use of homeopathic medicine. The principal investigator was Michelle Dossette, MD, PhD. and the team also included placebo expert Ted Kaptchuk, OMD. They hail from Harvard’s School of Public Health and from a Harvard Medical School affiliated hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess. The teams notes that prior studies of homeopathy “suggest potential public health benefits such as reductions in unnecessary antibiotic usage, reductions in costs to treat certain respiratory diseases, improvements in peri-menopausal depression, improved health outcomes in chronically ill individuals, and control of a Leptospirosis epidemic in Cuba.”

The data was gleaned from the 2012 National Health Interview Survey. The researchers explored the prevalence and use patterns of homeopathic medicines among U.S. adults in relation to other complementary and integrative medicine (CIM) use. Versions of this survey in 2002 and 2007 found use of homeopathic medicines at 1.7% and 1.8% of the adult population, respectively. The 15% growth in the recent half-decade corresponds to an overall use rate of 2.1% in 2012. The most common conditions for which people sought homeopathic treatment were respiratory and ear-nose-and-throat complaints as well as musculoskeletal pain syndromes. Users tended to be more educated than non-users.

Use of homeopathy in the US is lower than in many European countries. The authors note, for instance, that surveys have found rates at 8.2% in Italy and nearly 15% in Germany. A recent Italian wire-service story reported findings of a 2012 survey by a homeopathic manufacturer that found much higher use, at close to one-in-six adult Italians.

The Harvard team reported that positive views of homeopathy were much higher among those who saw a professional homeopath compared to those who simply purchased the pills from the store and self-prescribed. Those who consulted professionals were more likely to feel that homeopathy was “very important in maintaining health and well-being.” The sense of the importance of the remedies was also stronger. More of those who had consulted a homeopathic practitioner thought that homeopathy helped their health condition “a great deal” than did the self-prescribers.

Naysayers, who believe these medicine are nothing more than placebos, will likely question the additional perceived value post practitioner visit. Is it anything more than the greater level of investment in a placebo one has if the placebo is practitioner-recommended rather than self-prescribed?

The article came to The Integrator from homeopath and author Dana Ullman, MPH, CCH. He sent notice of the Harvard publication and of the recent report on Italian use with this note: “Here’s some GOOD news about homeopathy!”

Ullman adds: “This survey confirms that a certain well-educated and well-satisfied group of Americans benefit from self-prescribing homeopathic medicines as well as from going to professional homeopaths. Although these numbers are much higher in select countries in Europe, it is more than reasonable to support individual choice in health care. Just as our country is a melting pot of different cultures and races, our health and medical care likewise needs this healthy diversity.”

Homeopathy has taken it on the chin the last two years. The Harvard study was published amidst a renewed flare up of bad publicity following a controversial 2015 report from the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council. The chair of the report, general practitioner Paul Glasziou, MD blogged on the controversial findings at the British Medical Journal. A wave of postings from anti-homeopathy writers, immediately followed.

Weighing the public health potential of homeopathic medicine requires a wading into a river of twin ambiguities. These can each be true simultaneously: 1) homeopathic treatment only has value as a placebo, and 2) expanded use of these medicines can be useful tools in the public health campaign against antibiotic overuse. This 2008 study, for instance, found that 13% of doctors use antibiotics as placebos. Mightn’t we have been better off, from a population health perspective, had they prescribed homeopathic remedies and not delivered this extra load of antibiotics onto the terrain?

French researchers spoke to this potential last year when they concluded that “management of patients by homeopathic GPs may be less expensive from a global perspective and may represent an important interest to public health.”

The Harvard researchers included a similar note: “Because of potential public health benefits associated with the use of homeopathy, further research on this modality and targeted studies of users are warranted.”

WHAT HOMEOPATHY COSTS?
Your first consultation with a private homeopath will usually cost between INR 500 to INR 10,000. Further appointments usually cost less – about INR 500 to INR 5000 depending on the location of the place and experience of homeopath. It will also depend on the skill level of his staff or assistants who usually take the first case and prepare it for the main consultant.

Your remedy will usually be included in the consultation price, but do check this first. Homeopathic tablets or other products usually cost around INR 100 to INR500 if you need to buy them separately in India.
